Starting with the main brief, the main site for this year is The Low Line in Bankside, London. This major project start from the research and design activity of mine which was developed in term 1. This brief leads me to come out with a proposal for a more extended occupation and a more complex program. We've been given 8 new different sites which located around and along the Low Line. I've selected — 55 Great Suffolk Street as my major project site. This leads me to undertake a sequence of research, also proposing a clearer program of functions for my chosen site.

55 Great Suffolk Street is an Unaltered mid C19 warehouse with original windows, doors, loading bays, hoists and interior features. It was fairly rare survival relative to the great numbers of such warehouses which would have stood in Victoria Southwark. The building is grade II listed and has been on Historic England's heritage at risk register since 2004.

The Safe Zone at 55 is a building that provides community shared spaces and a temporary homeless shelter that protects the homelessness from the cold, bad weathers, jobless and sleeping rough. It was a new repurposed for the building itself and to support a managed balance community by providing the homelessness with an opportunities and a place to stay with the exchange of working in the building.

The main mission behind this project idea is to create a stability and security — A Place Called Home, for the people who lost the most, essential safety and to rebuild communities and hope. by bringing the homelessness back to the community whereby the shelter is open for both public and private. The hidden homeless will no longer be hidden but be staying within the center of a vibrant community that full of opportunity and lifestyle.
